Gahden Sports - Red Sox Interleague Play

Good to see the sox rebound last night with an 8-2 win over the Marlins. Even better to see Papi go 2-3 with 3 ribskis. Ellisbury, Green, Kottaras and Mighty Mouse also grabbed two hits for the winnnahhhhs.

I gotta give props to Tito for this lineup, Pedroia Drew Youk Bay Ortiz Lowell is an extremely powerful 1-6. I also like the attempts to squeeze out some effectiveness out of the bottom of the order with Ellisbury Green and Kottaras. I think ideally you throw Tek Green and Ellisbury as a second leadoff, but I understand the shake-up with Wakefield pitching. I believe this lineup is capable of doing serious damage with everyone healthy. Unfortunately, the downside is that Papi remains a huge catalyst for this offense and, while he remains a force under optimum conditions, his play has become inconsistent and makes this otherwise potent offense fallible.

Solid outing from Wakefield, if there is a better innings eater in all of the MLB I would like to see him. The guy has been a productive Red Sox starter spanning my entire baseball career from age 5 to 20...incredible. The barstool link covers his All-Star prospectus. (From Barstool and Mlb.com)

Wakefield is a hoodrat baller.
