Watched bits and pieces of the NHL awards. BIIIIG ups to the Bruins for cleaning house. For those who did not watch, Julien won coach of the year, Timmy took the Vezina and Mr. Chara himself won the coveted Norris trophy, breaking Nick Lidstrom's 3 year run. Unfortunately, winning the awards only served as a painful memory of the opportunity that was lost this year in the playoffs. Still, Bruins fans know that this is a young team and hopefully will be able to learn from this year's playoff experience.
Sox lost in a 2-1 rainout last night, not a huge concern as they are currently the best team in baseball after a 6-1 win Wednesday night. Pedroia was the player of the game, going 3-5 with 3 Rbi's. Ellisbury and Ortiz each had a hit and two walks for the Sox who currently enjoy the best home record in the MLB and the second best record this side of the surprising LA Dogders.
